Have you ever said this to a recruiter "Well, you know, I have been here for 10 years and even though the interview went-well I am going to say put for now."
Forget about the fact that you may work for a company that offers you.
Go back to your original conversations with the sales recruiter and remember your real reasons for returning the call and going on the interview in the first place.
If these are not the reason for continuing the process or taking the new job then as yourself this questions.
"What has changed?"
-or better yet
"What are your afraid of?"
Here is the bottom-line if you are not serious about making a change it is not a good idea to waste people's time (i.e. recruiters, new company, new boss, etc.) Keep in mind that the process of finding, locating, evaluating and selecting candidates take 100's of man-hours and cost 1000's of dollars. So when the sales recruiter calls be sure you are ready to make a change before you engage in the process.
